Milton had rung the adoption agency for a new child to replace the late ugly twins.

Armando turned up on the doorstep the next morning.

Milton’s businesses are slow-going but he’ll have Armando’s help when he’s a teenager.

He added a dance studio to the other part.

He got home in time to see the babies grow to toddlers and got the fright of his life.

Not only did Mabel have no nose to speak of, her head looked like a skull from the front.

Unfortunately I couldn’t get in close enough.  I thought I had a pic of Miller, but it seems not (and I emptied the recycling bin into which I’d put the pics).  He looked like a grumpy old man.

Milton decided to go back to his original plan which was to adopt a school age child (as his heir) and get rid of his alien offspring.  Their birthdays were fast-forwarded.

They were too horrific for Milton to tolerate so they were both drowned in the indoor pool.  I think Muriel Snipes was quite relieved.

Now the aliens were out of the way, Milton rang up the adoption agency to adopt a more normal-looking child.

He had a boy…

but wait… there was more!  He handed the kid to Mrs Snipes and…

a girl was born.  They were named Miller and Mabel (Muriel Snipes named the girl).  Milton’s first thought on having two kids was of Mrs Landchild’s home for rejects.  But which one would it be?  He’d decide when they grew to toddlers and then Mrs Landchild could take one of them on.

They both promptly left the babies there to go about their business…

Then Milton headed off to his business…

while Mrs Snipes looked after the twins.

Milton arrived at the furniture store and thought the facade looked a bit tired and shabby.

He had it reclad.

He had about three customers the whole day.

Only two bought anything.

Muriel, meanwhile, set up the nursery in her bedroom above the garage.

Milton, after a disappointing first day, headed home.

He went to bed but couldn’t sleep for a lot of crying and went to see what was up.

“What’s all this racket?”

“It’s alright, sir, I have it in hand”

[For some reason the babies started crying way before nappies could be changed.]

Milton thought about getting another business.  He didn’t want the others that Malcolm had sold.  He thought about the gym and headed over there.

(He forgot to get dressed first.)

He talked to someone about the business.

Certainly the place had potential.

Milton went home and arranged the purchase of the gym.

Well, Alicia and Malcolm decided to drop out of university and moved to Veronaville where they found a cheap house.  Alicia was keen to start her new life with Malcolm and organised a party for the wedding.  She invited Milton Landgraab, erroneously thinking he was a relative Malcolm would want to be there.

It was all set and Alicia was ready to start – she had to marry him for him to get her surname, as promised by Malcolm.  But then, the unthinkable happened…

Malcolm refused to go through with it and walked away!

Alicia was devastated.

She couldn’t understand it.  He loved her didn’t he?

He tried to explain to her when she got over the initial shock.

But she refused to listen to him.  He’d shamed her in front of her parents and friends.  The relationship was dead.

Milton watched all this with interest.

So Malcolm had refused to marry and change his name.  Milton would be watching Malcolm to see if he tried to get back to Bluewater.

Naturally the “wedding” party was a complete disaster and the guests headed home rather embarrassed.

Alicia went completely loopy.

(They hadn’t even started on redecorating the house.)

Alicia wasn’t sure she could continue living with Malcolm.  She phoned up a friend to talk about it.

Meanwhile, Malcolm (who hadn’t cooked a meal in his life) tried to make macaroni cheese.  The kitchen caught fire.

But then Malcolm remembered the fire extinguisher and had a go.

But the fire spread and it all got too much.   Alicia was totally oblivious.

By now Alicia was off the phone and realised what was happening.  But it was too late.

There was no going back from death.

There was a thunderstorm that night.  To rub salt in Alicia’s wounds, the wedding arch was struck by lightning and caught fire.

So the last of the original Landgraabs is dead.  Malcolm the sixth chose his own fate without any planning on my part!

Meet Muriel Snipes.

Milton explained the duties.

So while Milton relaxed…

Muriel cooked (although her cooking skill isn’t up to much yet).

Milton realised his pregnancy was now showing so he didn’t go to his businesses.

Once the alien kid is born, Milton will continue with the businesses.

Enter the new Landgraab – Milton.

He arrived on the doorstep of the Landgraab mansion, claiming that he was a long lost cousin.  Malcolm the fifth wasn’t as evil and discerning as his father so he accepted this ‘relative’ with open arms.

Malcolm quickly came to regret putting his trust in a stranger.  Milton locked them up in the sleepout above the garage.

Only the boy, Malcolm the sixth, was allowed to leave, as long as he went straight to college and on one further condition: should he marry he had to give up his surname and never return to Bluewater.

Milton forced Malcolm the fifth to sell all his business properties (he had three).

Milton let Malcolm believe that if he sold his properties he would be granted his freedom.

But the door remained firmly locked.

Milton wasted no time buying up Landgraab Furniture, the most profitable of the properties (with the Landgraab money of course).

He then made himself at home and caught up on some skills.

Milton had the bed taken out of the sleepout and installed two exercycles (knowing that Sims can’t resist exercising on them even when they’re close to starvation).  The girl, Celine, was the first to succumb.

Milton had the house reclad.

Milton’s plan was working…

Celine had soon worked herself to hunger and Malcolm to exhaustion.

Melina couldn’t shower or go to the toilet with Celine stuck in the corner.

Exhaustion and hunger didn’t stop them cycling.  Celine was the first to go.

Meanwhile, Milton was biding his time, relaxing.

Melina and Malcolm still didn’t stop exhausting themselves.

Then Melina saw a strange light outside.

A UFO!

Milton had spent far too much time at the telescope and had managed to get himself abducted.

Oh no – a kid was on the way – the last thing Milton wanted!

Malcolm was next to go.

Melina wasn’t long in following.

Now Milton had everything to himself.  The real Landgraab family had been dealt with.

Milton drove himself in his brand new car to his new business.

He found the business had run out of a lot of stock but by the time he’d restocked much of it, he was very tired and hungry.  He head home to refresh, ready for his new life.

Because Larry is a Danaher and the Danahers’ story is over at Growing Sims, the details of their deaths are there.

Malcolm’s mother, Jancine, died.

She had just got up to attend to her granddaughter, Brittany.   She was 71.

Anyway, I hope to get back onto the Landgraabs as soon as poss.  I’m currently playing another couple of days of each Sim family in Pleasantview so have a read there in the meantime.

Malcolm jnr now snr (I keep forgetting what number they are) was struggling a bit with the family businesses.  Naturally when he took over the electrical store, he lost the previous employees.  He had to hire new ones.  He hired two – an experienced checkout operator and a young talentless guy to stock up.  Unfortunately no-one appeared to be buying anything.  The prices appeared to be set too high.  There were two sales only that particular night and Malcolm was exhausted.

Meanwhile back at home, Melina was looking after the new Malcolm jnr.  The toddler grew to school age and slept in the bedroom above the garage. 

His sister, Celine, grew to a teenager and was relegated to the bed in the garage itself (there being no other bedrooms in the house).
